Trendy Clothes For 14 Year Old Boy – You are here: Home / Parents and Family / Ten-Year-Old Boy Reveals Stitch Fix: Stitch Fix Kids Size 14 Review
TEENAGE STICH FIX: Fashion for teenage boys can be tricky. Does a teenage boy’s tailoring fee help? This review of a 14-year-old boy, size 14, tells the story. ALSO, we’ve updated this post with some men’s fixes to show what you can get as your kids get older and have NEW reviews from 15 and 19 boys.

This is my 2nd Stitch Fix Kids review, I have one for tween girls stitch fix << which is a great review for kids.

FYI, I’m going to start over with our new Stitch Fix Men’s regular boxes and below is a review of the men’s stitch fix.
Juvenile repair works in the same way as for adults. You pay a $20 styling fee (applied to any purchase you make) and get free shipping to yourself (and free shipping on any returns). It takes longer to receive your box (return times are longer than before).
Make sure you fill out your style questionnaire carefully. That way they know what you want and hopefully send items to your price range. For my boys this seemed like a LONG TIME, but it was worth it for the good stuff. You can have them incorporate a Pinterest board of other styles they like into their sewing style.
Also, if you are looking for specific items (such as black pants), be sure to include that in your questionnaire.

My son is over Stitch Fix kids, but wanted to try Stitch Fix Men’s. he’s a sophomore in college (and full disclosure, in all of these videos we’ve gotten credit for each box, but you see, the opinions are everyone’s – I mean, they’re teenagers!!!). We asked for all the dresses and these are our honest tailoring reviews:
He ended up keeping 3 items: pants, a blue shirt, and a red t-shirt.
She loved the shoes, but she already had so many neutral sneakers that they couldn’t appreciate their value.
She also liked floral button-downs, especially material, but she didn’t like clothes with floral shirts.

Overall, he thought Stitch Fix did a good job with what he provided for his style profile, and he ordered a second box with them, which he hoped would be more tailored to his tastes.
Mom’s Thoughts: She has a hard time finding good pants that fit her petite body (you’ll find those jeans throughout this article) – SO it was great to find one that she REALLY liked through Stitch Fix. He’s 19, so, while he’s getting a little older, he’ll be able to wear pants a little more. I felt it was appropriate for him. She cares more about how she looks and really liked some of the things.
The price is probably more than we would normally pay – but the materials are of high quality and suitable for the type of his body so it is a relief.
My other son is 15 and has Stitch Fix Men’s (you can see his Stitch Fix Kid box below from last year):
My Son, The Prince Of Fashion
Note to my son: He is SUUUUPER thin and relatively tall. You probably come in at 5ft 8″ or so…. so KURHUGH to look for him in the shops. Especially in pants. I think many parents have this problem with young adults.
My son ended up saving 3 things. She loved the pants but they just fit her ankles and she will probably grow this year and paying that much for jeans that will last a few months is probably not smart at this point.
He wasn’t a fan of the pinafore shirt. He said he likes tight shirts, but he really doesn’t. He wears all T-shirts.
Although it’s usually cheaper to keep all 5, in this case it was the 3 most expensive items, so he sent them back and waited for another box.

Mom’s final comment: If we can find jeans that fit her tall and thin body well, that would be great. Otherwise, for a child who just needs clothes to wear, it may not be suitable for her when she has graduated from men.
Stitch Fix for Kids accommodates children up to size 14 (and down to 2T). If you’re over size 14, you can order adult tailoring (although I think it’s more expensive).
This one is hard to buy. He chooses the fabrics and what the t-shirts are. He’s driving me crazy so I thought we’d give it a try and see how it goes.
She loved it but hated it without sleeves. Like hate. We reported that he only wears short sleeves, but he wears long sleeve hoodies – oops. He would like this one with long sleeves.

He felt this one was too plain – and I don’t think he liked the rolled up sleeves (he called them “sleeve collars”).
He liked this one. He said he would put the button down in the first exam, but when he got it, he seemed hesitant. However, in the end he kept this one
This was bad. She didn’t have a waist belt (it was elastic plus a string and the combs made her crazy). The legs were tied although I thought he would like it when he biked to school, he wasn’t. He chooses very skinny jeans.
Your basic graphic tee, he didn’t like it – again, it was out of place…

He ended up getting a Harry Potter shirt, a Superman shirt, and an Anchor shirt. He was sad that nothing was working for him. We plan to do another race in a few months as winter approaches. It would be great to find new things that work for him. Although I would NOT turn on automatic delivery for someone with multiple inventory issues. The best thing is that they “got him” and every stitchfix box addressed those concerns and got new pieces.
It was frustrating that they sent so many similar items, but I guess it’s a teenage boy and this is a baby box.
Full disclosure: They waived my stylist’s fee for this box, but we paid for most of ours ourselves.
I found her sister’s pin in the middle fixing it right. I’m not sure if it’s because she’s young or because she’s a girl. But whatever – it wasn’t a victory for this guy. BUT it was close enough and different enough that he wanted to try again.

Remember that your edit box is always closed and you need to keep using the subscription service to really see if they understand your style.
Do not forget that there are many other boxes like this, including trunk club (Nordstrom’s personal style service) or LeTote, you can try if this does not work.
And if you’re not very happy with the box, I can contact customer service and ask for your style fee to be put into another box or something.
